Headliners

James Carwana

Vice President and General Manager, Intel Sports at Intel Corporation
James M. Carwana is a vice president at Intel Capital and general manager of the Intel Sports. He leads Intel's efforts to drive a 2nd wave of OTT by providing new interactive fan experiences. Since the formation of Intel Sports in 2016, Carwana has helped lead the acquisition of two companies, has deployed technologies worldwide, and launched multiple partnerships, including major sports leagues. A proven business strategist, Carwana served as technical assistant and strategic program manager to Intel CEO Brian Krzanich before starting Intel Sports in 2016. He spent his first several years at Intel in the Accelerated Leadership Program, a development initiative that exposes associates to diverse Intel businesses. Before joining Intel in 2013, Carwana spent seven years at Newport Media Inc., where he led the company's mobile broadcast products for Japan and Latin America. Carwana holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the UCLA. He also earned an MBA degree from UCLA's Anderson School. He has been granted two patents and his leadership of Intel Sports was recognized in 2017 by Sports Business Journal, which named Intel the Best in Sports Technology winner at its annual Sports Business Awards.

Lauren Selig

Founder VALIS Studio at V.A.L.I.S
Lauren Selig is an entrepreneur and executive with a 25-year track record of global impact in the entertainment, real-estate, technology and start-up communities. In 2013, Selig founded Shake and Bake Productions and V.A.L.I.S Studios to finance and produce high quality independent studio pictures, television and virtual reality. Selig executive produced films including the Academy Award winning film Hacksaw Ridge, Everest, Black Mass, Lone Survivor, Begin Again, Two Night Stand and American Made. In the virtual reality space Selig created the Facebook 360 studio. She partnered with Endemol and TIME magazine to produce the first virtual reality summit of Mt. Everest for which she won an Emmy. Selig served in the role of director of development at her private family office, Martin Selig Real Estate, developing one of the largest private real estate companies in the country. She managed the asset allocation and portfolio of family investments in startups as well as organizing family philanthropy. Selig holds a B.S. in international relations from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service and London School of Economics, as well as a JD-MBA in technology management from Northwestern and University of Washington.

Assia Grazioli

Co-Founder at Muse Capital
Assia Grazioli-Venier is a media executive, angel investor and advisor to high-growth tech startups, entertainment companies and venture capital firms. In 2016, Assia launched Muse Capital with her business partner Rachel Springate. An early stage strategic angel investment fund, Muse focuses on consumer-facing entrepreneurs and technologies that are creating next-generation products from fin-tech to healthcare to entertainment. A sought-after digital media strategist and consultant to international organizations and leaders, Assia is on the board of directors of Italy's legendary Juventus Football Club. Appointed in 2012, she is the first female and youngest board member to serve in such a role in the 120-year history of the club. Until she started Muse Capital in 2016, Assia was also on the board of advisors of Northzone, one of Europe's leading technology investment partnerships whose portfolio includes Spotify, iZettle, MarketInvoice, Outfittery, Trustpilot, Fyndiq and Qapital. Assia has a BA with Honors from Barnard College, Columbia University in the City of New York.
