Kirk Borne

Principal Data Scientist and Executive Advisor, First Data Science Fellow at Booz Allen Hamilton
Dr. Kirk Borne is the Principal Data Scientist and an Executive Advisor at global technology and consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton. In those roles, he focuses on applications of data science, data management, machine learning, A.I., and modeling across a wide variety of disciplines. He also provides training and mentoring to executives and data scientists in the use of large data repositories and machine learning for discovery, decision support, and innovation. Previously, he was Professor of Astrophysics and Computational Science at George Mason University for 12 years where he did research, taught, and advised students in data science. Prior to that, Kirk spent nearly 20 years supporting data systems activities on NASA space science programs, which included a period as NASA's Data Archive Project Scientist for the Hubble Space Telescope, plus 10 years in management positions within NASA's Space Science Data Operations Office. Dr. Borne has a B.S. degree in Physics from LSU, and a Ph.D. in Astronomy from Caltech. In 2016 he was elected Fellow of the International Astrostatistics Association for his lifelong contributions to big data research in astronomy. As a global speaker, he has given hundreds of invited talks worldwide, including conference keynote presentations at many dozens of data science, A.I. and big data analytics events globally.

Andrei Papancea

Co-Founder and CEO at NLX Inc.
Currently, I am focused on crafting AI-powered applications and building large scale systems using cloud technologies such as AWS. On occasion I engage in pro-bono work for non-profit organizations, such as a 3-month graphic design project for the United Nations. I have also taught workshops and given lectures on cloud computing at Columbia University.

Heinz Riehl Chair Professor of Business at NYU Stern School of Business
Anindya Ghose is the Heinz Riehl Chair Professor of Business and the Director of the Masters of Science in Business Analytics program at NYU Stern School of Business. He is the author of the best selling and multiple award winning book, TAP: Unlocking The Mobile Economy which has been translated into five languages. In 2014 he was named by Poets & Quants as one of the “top 40 outstanding business school professors under 40 in the world” and by Analytics Week as one of the “top 200 thought leaders in Big Data and Business Analytics”. His rise from Assistant to Full Professor in 8.5 years is widely considered as one of the fastest in the history of the elite business schools globally. He is the youngest recipient of the prestigious INFORMS ISS Distinguished Fellow Award. In 2017 he was recognized by Thinkers50 as one of the Top 30 Management Thinkers globally most likely to shape the future of how organizations are managed and led in the next generation. He was ranked in the top 1% of the world’s most influential researchers by the Web of Science between 2008-2018. He teaches courses on digital marketing and business analytics at 6 different degree levels (including C-Suite) at NYU. Anindya has worked with several Fortune 500 companies in the US, Asia, Africa, and Europe as consultant and coach. He is a frequent keynote speaker in leading events globally and has given more than 250 talks internationally.
