About the Event
World Blockchain Summit was a global series of elite gatherings that took place in 16+ destinations across the world.
It aimed to bring together thought leaders and pioneers from the industry to discuss and deliberate the trends around Blockchain Technology and investment opportunities for Cryptocurrencies and Digital Assets. The summit gathered government authorities, institutional investors, family offices, hedge funds, asset allocators, crypto entrepreneurs & IT leaders from the burgeoning ecosystem.
The summit also featured inspirational keynotes, pitch competitions, panel discussions, investor meet-ups, project showcases, industry use-cases and a host of formal & informal networking opportunities.
On February 2018, Marwan founded the region's first crypto over the counted desk with the establishment of his company OTC Supply DMCC.
Marwan has extensive experience in the areas of information security management, network security and computer forensics. He currently holds the position of Director of Information Services at Dubai Electronic Security Center.
Marwan has written a number of award-winning academic papers and presented them in such conferences as the Australian Information Warfare & Security Conference, the Australian Computer, Network & Information Forensics Conference and the Australian Information Security Management Conference.
Don Tapscott is one of the world’s leading authorities on the impact of technology on business and society. He has authored 16 books, including Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything, which has been translated into over 25 languages.
Don’s most recent and ambitious book was co-authored with his son, Alex Tapscott, a globally-recognized investor, advisor and speaker on blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Blockchain Revolution: How the Technology Behind Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies is Changing the World was published in May 2016 and is, according to Harvard Business School’s Clay Christensen, “the book, literally, on how to survive and thrive in this next wave of technology-driven disruption.” The paperback version of the book, updated with new material covering recent developments in the blockchain industry, was published in June 2018.
