Caroline’s close and practical information security knowledge stems from broad experience as a Cigital consultant, a Symantec product manager, and day-to-day leadership roles at eBay and Zynga. She is a well known thought leader on the topic of security metrics and has been featured at industry conferences including RSA (USA and Europe), OWASP AppSec, and BSides. Caroline was featured as an Influencer in the 2017 Women in IT Security issue of SC Magazine. She received a 2010 Women of Influence Award in the One to Watch category and authored the popular textbook Security Metrics: A Beginner’s Guide, published by McGraw-Hill in 2011. Caroline graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and holds a certificate in Finance and Accounting from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

I have over 25+ years in software development, in multiple roles, giving me a unique macro view of the software development and delivery process. I have worked as S/W Eng, Development Manager, Consultant, Solution Architect, Evangelist and Dir. of Product Marketing.

I succeeded in optimizing software technologies and practices, and communicating technical value and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. The past 15 years of my career included various aspects of applying open source software to enterprise software development (Subversion, Git, and Jenkins) including market analysis, feature definition, messaging, training development, go-to-market strategy and more.

Notable accomplishments include creation of a widely adopted DevOps Maturity Model as
a core company and community asset and participating in over 60 conferences, webinars, white papers,
books and articles.

I also have been recognized with multiple awards, most recently at CloudBees, I was
awarded Content MVP and twice selected to attend Presidents Club as a top performer. Additionally, I have author and contributor credits for two books and have been quoted in multiple publications.

Sandeep is a Cloud Native Advocate for Google Cloud, where he focuses on making it easier for developers and operators to adopt cloud native tools and practices, such as Kubernetes and Istio. Sandeep’s background is in software engineering and he's worked for Apple, MongoDB, Ravel, 21CT, and Affinegy. He has developed architectures and best practices for running hybrid infrastructure deployments and large-scale data processing pipelines as well as software systems to analyze social networks and document similarity. Sandeep has a BS in CompEng from Michigan and a MS in CompEng from Texas.
