An author, strategy advisor, global consulting partner at Ogilvy, and lecturer at Columbia University, he is on a mission to help people build better brands.
As an executive, he has been recognized as a leader by Forbes, Adweek, INC, C-Suite Quarterly, Cablefax, and the Advertising Research Foundation. He is the author of Follow the Feeling: Brand Building in a Noisy World (Wiley, August 2019), which reveals branding secrets based on research from 1,500 fast-growing brands from Alibaba to Zara.
Before joining Ogilvy, Kai served on the leadership team at venture capital and talent management firm Atom Factory. The company managed an investment portfolio of 80+ startups including Uber, Lyft, Warby Parker, and Dropbox, in addition to managing a roster of music talent including Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, Miguel, and John Legend. The company focused on high performance, whether working with startup founders or music talent. During that time, he started and ran an accelerator recognized by JPM Chase as best-in-class. Prior to Atom Factory, he worked in senior strategy roles for media startup REVOLT, founded by Sean Diddy Combs, and agencies including Porter Novelli, Organic, and Ogilvy. He began his marketing career in Ogilvy’s Associates program.
