I’ve always been interested in emerging work trends, tech, and people practices. This curiosity fueled a career that’s afforded me the privilege of solving complex talent challenges and searches for some of the biggest brands in their respective fields including NPR, Ticketmaster, SpaceX, Duo Security, and Hootsuite. It’s allowed me to share my views in keynotes from Johannesburg to Stockholm, cover the intersection of culture/talent/brand for Fast Company & Forbes, and co-author a book on Employer Brand. Here's how it began.
I got my start as a tech recruiter in NY and LA during the dot-com 1.0 days of the late 90’s. Working with many startups out of Idealab and eCompanies, I had a front-row seat to the rise and fall of the first internet economy. After three years I wanted to go in-house and joined a startup as employee #5 to ramp up their new business model.
The next ten years of my career were focused on a recruiting leadership track; running global recruiting for Ticketmaster, Magento, and NPR. I found that I was really drawn to building progressive teams and practices and wanted to do more of that.
In 2013, I launched Amplify to leverage my experience and interests in the evolving nature of work, and the role of HR, to help companies build progressive people teams and talent strategies. I was also exploring ways to accelerate HR education and inspiration at scale.
