"If the path before you is clear, you’re probably on someone else’s." Joseph Campbell
This quote illustrates my passion for exploring uncharted territories and blazing new paths. I thrive in organizations that value the same and around people who are comfortable with ambiguity and disruption, and are willing to take risks, fail into success, focus on outcomes over process, experiment with solutions rather than complain about problems, care about the greater good over individual gain, and try bold, unconventional, and crazy ideas.
As an executive in higher education and talent development for the past two decades, I have led and transformed organizations using innovations in technology, experiential learning, design thinking, and community engagement. I recently had the privilege of applying these strategies to successfully build and scale career and experiential education at Stanford. I have since joined Johns Hopkins to launch a new vision of equitable access to life purpose for all students regardless of background or social capital using principles of integrative learning and life design. Follow me here and on Twitter for the latest on our movement.
Throughout my career, I held senior leadership and board roles at Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, the University of Florida, Washington State University, the National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE), the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), and various startups and non-profits.
