About speakers

Jess Dugan was the first teacher to expand Ganja Yoga ™ into a new city. Her classes have been featured internationally and are praised by a returning student base. Jess’s work in cannabis began as employee number one at The Arcview Group-- the first cannabis investment firm--where she helped facilitate the funding of more than 60 companies with a capital raise of $50+ million and an additional $750k for drug policy reform initiatives. While stewarding Arcview’s investor community, she launched a business-mindfulness initiative to help combat the heavy demands felt across the emerging sector. Jess’s commitment to wellness in the workplace inspired the Reflections Retreat, a four-day event for cannabis executives focused on personal growth for professional development. Most recently, Jess completed a month long intensive with ayahuasca in Peru. She is currently studying the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition and massage therapy, to deepen in Denver, CO. Prior to her work in VC, she ran a conscious-living blog dedicated to the appreciation of live music and covered events internationally.
Ricky was born on May 21, 1977 to humble beginnings in San Diego — The Crib! — where as a high schooler, he excelled at football, baseball and track. At a very young age, he had an intuitive sense that life is an adventure, and that the highs and lows are therefore expected (and welcomed) as part of the ride. With this understanding, he was able to harness the focus needed to rise to the top on the athletic field while weathering the inevitable storms of life. His performance as a running back at Patrick Henry High School led to his recruitment by the University of Texas, where he had a record-breaking career and was a two All-American. In 1998, he was awarded the 64th Heisman Trophy, at the age of 21. In 1999, the New Orleans Saints traded eight picks for the right to select Ricky in the first round of the draft. It was the first time in NFL history that one player was the only pick for a team’s entire draft class. Three years later, Ricky was traded to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for two first-round draft picks. During his 13-year professional career, Ricky also played for Baltimore Ravens and was a Pro Bowl MVP and the NFL’s Rushing Leader. In 2015, Ricky was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. For Ricky, leaving football was simply a redirection of his talent. Now a sought after-speaker regarding cannabis and its restorative effects (as well as an advocate for its legalization and regulation in the US), Ricky has also devoted himself to mastering other hea
Neuroscientist, international speaker on the benefits of cannabis and mushrooms, three-time author including Vitamin Weed, patient advocate, and drug policy reform expert. Serial entrepreneur who founded a cannabis health coaching platform and first 501c3 nonprofit research institute on cannabis and women's health. Fun fact: first scientist to star on a reality television series, starring on CBS's hit TV show Big Brother in 2009 and lasting 66 days on the show.

About talk

This panel explores the potential of cannabis to contribute to not only physical, but also emotional, mental and spiritual well being. From Ricky William's (moderator) experience, the most profound effect that cannabis has had on his life, has been spiritual...in helping him find his purpose. The medicinal benefits of cannabis have now catapulted cannabis in the mainstream, but all holistic forms of medicine recognize that in order to maintain physical health, we must also attend to the health of our psyches.
