I am a computer scientist and engineer with 18+ years of professional, research & development experience in Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Computer Security. I have held leadership roles such as the head of a research laboratory, product manager.I have secured and successfully executed multi-million dollar customer-funded projects. I have turned some of these projects into products that were licensed and showcased at leading exhibitions like RSA Expo. I have raised, mentored and led geographically distributed teams.I have architect and developer experience on Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack and Microsoft Azure Platform. I have worked as a data scientist with the Hadoop ecosystem using both Amazon and Google Big Data Platform. I have developed machine learning algorithms and applied them to network security, bioinformatics.I have been recognized a Google Developer Expert in Google Cloud Platform by Google. Red Hat selected me as the "Red Hat Certified Engineer of the Year". My past employer, Institute for Infocomm Research, recognized me as a “Role model for a research engineer”. The National University of Singapore awarded me full research scholarship to pursue my Master's degree by research.I authored the book "Building Your Next Big Thing with Google Cloud Platform".
