First, a boring disclaimer: I welcome connecting with everyone I've worked with, chatted to online and met in the real world. But please don't contact me if you're promoting things. For the purposes of the Spam Act 2003 I am stating I do not want to receive unsolicited commercial electronic messages via LinkedIn.I founded ThinkTilt in 2016 with my two co-founders and since then we have launched our successful app ProForma, the user-friendly form and checklist builder for Jira. I'm a co-founder and the technical architect responsible for the development of the product.Prior to that, I was working at Our Community where I implemented Australia's largest donations website GiveNow (www.givenow.com.au), and Australia's best-practice grants management system SmartyGrants (www.smartygrants.com.au). These are built to the highest standards, using professional software development methodologies and proper change control. The systems have tens of thousands of users, have processed millions of dollars in transactions, and have extremely high reliability. Yet they have all been developed with the tiniest of teams — teams sometimes so small that, on a coffee run, I can carry coffee and cake for the entire team in one hand.View the profile
About the talk
Why write three separate apps for Cloud, Server, and Data Center products, when you can write just one that works across all of them? Learn how splitting your app into appropriate layers allows you to write your UI and business functionality just once, yet have it run across all product deployment environments. We’ll dive into real-world code examples, from how to use Atlaskit, to building and packaging an app across all three product deployment options using Bitbucket Pipelines. As a bonus, we’ll share what we got wrong the first time we tried sharing code between cloud and server.
