Sean is a serial entrepreneur VC and co-founder of GrowthX and GrowthX Academy, with three successful exits, who has successfully grown dozens of early-stage companies across a wide variety of products and markets. I'm one of the founding partners in the growth X family of companies. 00:28 We are seed stage venture capital fund focused on helping our companies develop their markets not develop their products. 00:33 We're focused on developing markets and making money as opposed to developing products and raising money. 00:39 Because in the age of applied technology. 00:43 It's never been easier cheaper to get our products to market. 00:45 It's also never been more expensive. 00:45
More difficult to get traction for them in the market. 00:50 So we launched the seed stage fund. 00:53 We develop a spoke accelerator that was focused on. 00:55 Helping our companies grow in a measurable methodical way we launched an Academy to train and develop the people to work in those companies. 00:58 In the roles that help move the needle in particular growth marketing growth hacking. 01:06 UX design data science sales and our core market acceleration program. 01:12
Framework we also have a corporate innovation team that helps large corporations build and market new disruptive innovative products in their world. 01:16 We also have a civic innovation practice now, 01:26 helping governments and entrepreneurial support organizations. 01:29 Create their own sustainable ecosystems. 01:32 So this all began about 7 years ago and my partners and I are all serial entrepreneurs. 01:35 I've had done 5 startups I've had 3 exits. 01:41
I've had a very expensive learning experience as well. 01:46 And I've always been on the market development side of my companies. 01:49 I am not a technologist I. 01:53 Can't even spell HTML. 01:55 What I do know though is how to translate technology into solving real problems in the market. 01:58
