About speaker

I am a is a Senior UI Engineer within Acquisition UI at Netflix. I build performant UIs for the many partner integrations and new payment methods on the web, mobile and tv platforms. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my husband and my friends. I am also secretly (or not so secretly) obsessed with trashy reality TV, musical theater and true crime documentaries. I can be found singing to myself or talking in a sing-song voice - sorry in advance.

About the talk

In this talk, I will give a quick introduction to online experimentation and A/B testing. To keep the talk self-contained, I will first give an overview of stats fundamentals needed to understand A/B testing. I will go over some of the pitfalls that are common when running experiments. You will also see how we built a scalable A/B testing framework at Netflix.
