View the profileJourney Williams has over 20 years of direct building system integration experience and currently is the SVP Business Development at Tapa, a recent spinoff company of Smart Building Technologies (SmartBT) in Washington DC. SmartBT provides the latest in computerized and intelligent control systems which monitor and control all mechanical, lighting, and other components in new and outdated buildings. For years, SmartBT has provided installations, service, and maintenance on building automation, tenant electrical sub-metering, lighting control, and variable frequency drives (VFD). Recently they have been specializing in the future of smart buildings including full cross platform integration and app development using mostly Tridium and Distech Controls HVAC Control Platforms. Journey earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam NY.

He has led product development, business development, engineering, installation, and field service organizations across the country working in start-up and medium-size wireless construction and deployment companies, as well as larger corporations such as Nortel Networks, Goodman Networks and others. He has provided IoT and next-generation networking and wireless consulting expertise to numerous companies, started and sold 3 wireless construction and maintenance companies, and has held various executive-level leadership positions across the information and communications technology industry. Harry earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina (UNC) – Chapel Hill, NC He earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management from St. John Fisher College, Rochester, NY.
