L.D. has extensive experience founding, advising, and investing in leading private technology companies. Prior to founding Cherre, L.D. served as Executive Director of Oppenheimer’s Private Shares Group, after Oppenheimer acquired Greencrest Capital, a firm he co-founded to enable pre-IPO transactions in some of the largest private technology companies in the world, including Facebook, twitter, and Uber. Prior to that L.D. served as the Principal of Knight Capital Group’s Private Equity Fund, and previously as a captain in the Israeli Army. L.D. earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, and is a Joseph Wharton Merit Scholar. L.D. also holds a B.A., LL.B., and LL.M. in finance and International Law from IDC Herzliya.
View the profileRobert M. White, Jr. is the founder and president of Real Capital Analytics, a global research company focused on the capital markets for commercial real estate. Headquartered in New York City with offices located around the globe, it counts the industry’s leading investors, brokerage firms, developers and financial institutions as clients. The firm has widely been credited as fostering market transparency and pioneering research to better quantify property prices, liquidity and capital flows. Mr. White has authored numerous articles for industry publications and directs the editorial content of the firm’s own Capital Trends publications. He oversees the firm’s R&D initiatives and was a principal architect on the team responsible for the industry’s first transaction-based property price index which has evolved into a suite of over 350 indices globally. Mr. White has served on the board of directors for the Pension Real Estate Association and is currently on the advisory board for the Real Estate Research Institute. He is a Counselor of Real Estate, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute. In recognition of his outstanding professionalism and commitment to service in the real estate industry, Mr. White was presented with the James D. Landauer/John R. White Award by the Counselors of Real Estate in 2014.

So thank you everyone for joining today. I have the honor of being here today while I'm with Bob White the Founder and CEO of Real Capital Analytics. And for those who don't know me. I'm L.D. one of the Founders of Cherre. Today is really special for me so Bob, thank you for joining me. Thanks for looking forward to it. So you've been in this business for a while, which is not for me to say that your role. I've been here for a few years in the industry and seen a lot of interesting changes. You see a lot of companies come and go you've seen the industry
really changed dramatically and your they're basically from the beginning right? So when we think about real estate data, this is what I think about. So I'd love to start maybe with kind of your thoughts a little about how the industry has changed over time.
