Today we're going to talk about product management demystified how to become a great product manager. I actually wrote an entire book on the same topic called The Product Book and it became a best-seller Amazon two years ago when it got published. Just to give a little context about myself. I'm Carlos the Founder and CEO of Product School. We are the global leader in product management training during the last six years we've built the largest community for product people
around the world over 1 million numbers and extracting the most important pieces on how to actually grow your product leadership career. I should carry out their articles medium blog post discussion forums. And of course, books that talk about how to get a product management job, but I think that's a very limited view of the entire picture. Of course. It's important to know how to answer the questions during an interview and how to optimize your LinkedIn profile to get more conversations. But the reality is you also need to know how to deliver and there's no content out
there at least in a structured way. So, I decided to focus my book on that part and break down the entire product development process with very tactical examples from Real World company start building Peter products these days so they I started my career as a software engineer. Didn't know what to do. My options are pretty limited. I just knew that I didn't want to spend the rest of my life at the same time. Like I wanted to utilize my technical background in a different way. But again, you know how so
the closest alternative back in the day was to go to business school. And that's actually what I did I want before that. I will be working as an engineer, but I actually wanted to know more about the business side of things and the reality is spoiled there is nothing like that in a business class. So, there was no single class, but I got to meet some incredible people that also came from a technical background. It was refreshing for me to know that I'm not the only one
