About speaker
Mehmet Yılmaz was born in 1964, Elazığ-Turkey. After completion of high school education, he continued with the graduation from the “Geological Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University” in Ankara. Mr. Yılmaz was employed by TUPRAG Metal Madencilik A.Ş., a subsidiary of Eldoradogold, as the field geologist just after the graduation in 1987. While he was working as exploration and senior geologist, he took the responsibility of PR/GR and permitting for TUPRAG in Turkey. He was actively involved with the development, PR/GR, and permitting of Kışladağ and Efemçukuru mines in Turkey. He is currently working as Chairman-Board of Directors of Tuprag and VP&General Manager of Turkey. Mehmet Yılmaz has also been in South Africa, Brasil, Mexico, USA, and Canada for work and learning about gold mining. Mr. Yılmaz is married and has a 26 years old daughter
