About the talk
Accessibility, diversity, and inclusion leaders know the integral role disability plays in corporate diversity strategy. Yet many companies do not include disability in their diversity and inclusion programs or those who do may not have programs as well-developed as those for racial/ethnic/gender diversity.
• What are the essential steps an organization should take to promote disability as a valued form of diversity to include in the workforce?
• How should companies think strategically about shifting foundational behaviors, attitudes, and policies that create more inclusive workplace cultures for people with disabilities? How do you promote allyship for people with disabilities?
• What is the role of disability inclusion during the time of COVID/remote work? Is the wave of health and wellness programs helping or hurting the efforts to include more forms of disabilities in diversity strategy?
