Jeff has 25 years of experience within the training and certification industry serving in general management and practice leadership roles. His focus is assisting organizations to improve their effectiveness and security through employee development and skills validation. Jeff combines his passion for professional performance with technology to bring change within the global organizations with whom he works while improving the opportunities for people in tech. When not working towards improving the lives of others Jeff can be found doing the same for his own as a husband, reader, yogi, and cyclist.
View the profileAs a leader in training and product engagement Megan began her career in certification with over a decade of experience in custom training delivery, sales and management in the pharmaceutical and government sectors. Her focus is to create, promote and maintain high stakes certifications within emerging technologies. Outside of work she is mother of two teenagers, an avid reader, runner and would love to have more time to work in her art studio.

According to a recent Cisco IoT Survey, 60% of respondents said that IoT initiatives appeared good on paper but were much more difficult to implement than expected. Although seemingly most IT projects incur similar challenges IoT, still an emerging technology, has the added uncertainty of the unknown. In this session we will describe why it is essential for all IoT team members from the C-suite through technical practitioners require specific knowledge and skills to help ensure the success of their projects. We will also explore how micro-credentials and certifications assist organizations in validating the knowledge needed for identified job roles.
Outcomes: The expected outcomes from this presentation is as follows:
- Understand the need for business stakeholders and project managers to possess fundamental IoT knowledge
- How validating skills and knowledge of IoT Professionals assists in successful project implementations
- Why reskilling is the new norm to both retain employees while also preparing them for the next project

Welcome everyone to the session on successful IoT projects in that how they begin with knowledge and skills is part of the IoT Slam 10 event year on December 11th, 2019. My name is Jeff Felice and my colleague Megan Branch loan reduce me a little bit further. But first I'd like to take the opportunity to introduce you to Megan. Megan is the leader in the training and certification industry with over a decade of experience and product development and delivery. She wears many hats for CertNexus
has four most responsible for the delivery of our training and certification products. When not at work. Megan is a full-time mother of two and an avid runner and is the right side of our Brian transistors CertNexus, but also at home where she still takes advantage of her degree in art. Thanks, Jeff.
