About the talk
IoT is forcing a fundamental rethinking of business and operational strategies. Whether your data are on-premises, in a public or private cloud, at the edge, or anywhere in-between – analytics needs to be there with it. And democratization — making data, analytics and AI available and accessible to everyone in the organization – is crucial to realizing value and ensuring Digital Transformation success. You can see the beginnings of this wave in citizen data scientists and citizen application developers who use visualization, low-code and no-code environments to build models and applications. While the quality and robustness of algorithms is important, the real value is in driving actionable, automatic, democratized, and digital outcomes that can be consumed by anyone, at any time, and in any place. Learn how successful IoT ecosystems – developed with partner organizations of all sizes – are speeding time to value for customers, as well as reducing risk through specialization and future-proofing with open and scalable architectures.

View the profileThank you very much. Hello. Everyone and as Kevin said good morning. Good evening. Good afternoon, depending upon what part of the globe you're in I'm happy to be part of the IoT Slam 2020 and thank you for joining. My presentation stays on accelerating IoT Outcomes through analytics Partnerships and democratization. My name is Josh Becker. I am the Senior Global Director and Head of the IoT Commercial Group in SAS IoT Division. I want to start today by talking a little bit about our core beliefs
at SAS. Our mission is to empower and inspire with the most trusted analytics to improve lives through better decisions. Really. This has been the driving force through of everything that we do our company is structured on how to evolve the technologies that we research and develop the services that we offer to our customers. This is our why we believe that the Internet of Things offers unique and unprecedented opportunity to extend this Mission. We have more data than ever before we are more connected than ever before we can
operationalize analytics closer to the things and deliver insights in real-time. Similar to how we as humans breathe at the technology becomes more integrated into our daily lives. The better decisions that we are able to make become more automatic or involuntary in more continuous. If you're familiar with Simon one could argue that IoT represents. The ultimate infinite game the rules the players even the game pieces in this case are amorphous and constantly evolving. There's no way to win this game,
