About speaker

Scott Sidman
EVP, Business & Corporate Development at Building Engines, Inc.

My favorite part of my own role as head of strategic growth and development is the conversations I get to have every day with really visionary leaders across our domain. Having led teams through multiple scale points with Building Engines, I love thinking through the growth edge for each potential partner or acquisition at various stages, from start-up to mature. It’s fun and a challenge to figure out together how to create profitability, scale, strengthen operations, and find new areas of opportunity.

About the talk

Topic: PropTech
Track: Occupiers

The tenant experience has changed. Before COVID-19 hit, the tenant experience revolved around flashy amenities designed to supplement the core building experience. As the pandemic has caused the entire CRE industry to take a step back and shift priorities, property managers need to adapt to accommodate a new set of needs.

Okay, looks like we're at 11 so I will get started, and hopefully, folks can hear me looks like we have a few books in the session. Welcome to this discussion about the re-occupancy hierarchy of needs. I'm Scott Sidman, Executive Vice President for Building Engines. It's my pleasure to be here this morning have this opportunity to participate in the event with CREtech and to share some insights that hopefully folks will find valuable and helpful. I'm actually going to save you any further suffering of having to look at me and in me

screen and will share it as I take you through some of those ideas in the time we had this morning and look forward to any chance to make men in the opportunity 10 to 2 to help folks. So, let's see if I can do this correctly share my screen and you should be looking at my deck a few slides here momentarily. And as we don't have a great feedback loop on this I'm going to assume that that's working and you're looking at the opening to do the presentation

for this morning. I want to start with a little statistic in 2018 and CBRE’s America's occupier survey 81% of corporate occupiers perceived amenities as internal to the employee experience and encourage landlords and other service providers to enhance this offerings. So what's the takeaway here is what a difference a couple of years and a pandemic makes and that's the contact for what we want to talk about this morning. We have a short time. So I'll try to be as efficient as possible as we touch on the areas you see here in and look
