Shahidul Mannan is the Head of Data Engineering and Innovation at Mass General Brigham (Partners Healthcare) – largest healthcare organization in New England. He is also founder of Bridge Innovation Institute – an organization focused on education and innovation connecting global talents and entrepreneurs, and founder Principal of MBS Analytics. Shahidul served as the Chief Analytics Officer at Human Health Project. Most recently he commercialized data and AI products at TTEC Digital as Vice President and GM of AI Platform products. Shahidul also led at Dell EMC as Global Head of Big data and Analytics – leading all data assets and building next generation Data Lake and AI driven Analytics across enterprise, and at Altisource, where he served as Vice President of Technology - responsible for all data management, big data, business intelligence and advanced analytics, developing Fintech analytics products and services. A 20 years veteran in Data Analytics and Technology, Innovation management, Shahidul has a B.Sc. in Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and an MBA in Finance from Baruch College, New York. And that's why it's really critical. If not yesterday
organizations are prepared to manages data better and manage this to their advantage to increase their competitive advantage in the healthcare specialty managed to cause that we always hear about and we see increasing exponentially impacting not only the affordability but also the quality in my device. Are again a focused on digitization on the various devices devices the whole EHR and user experience automation Revolution that's happening in a big focus is as you can see it's been the second highest investment idea and I think by the end of the patient care as well as focusing on building out the next generation of tools and Technologies to provide better Healthcare better patient experience enormous because the data is enormous and one of the thing I have seen and you all have experienced. I'm sure
am in the same way. Is that in healthcare the big Of the data Allen is if most of the data is in unstructured form in image form or in some streaming data form, which is difficult to harvest in the addition. And that's why I'm using those is going to be a big is a big part of this AI journey in healthcare and unleashing the data will open up almost 80% of that would lead to so much Innovation. Once we get over this hump of your managing the data in the healthcare space and then diving and focusing more and more
spending more and more time duration and improving the diagnostic tool. The various diseases and be prepared and proactive in managing those from Texas to cancer risk and utilisation management risk from a military perspective from fraud detection. Patients from the Diagnostics data to bedside Health devices and other genomic data all this combined once we have better and better view of the patient. You can engage better. We can sleep better and we can all secure better by analyzing understanding
and driving those far more innovative solutions. So that's why I just think of time that in general that is certainly is a reality challenges of managing the volume. Organization fast on that is the biggest that we have today and that also comes with other data management. And now with Amore governance ethics and other more important rules management within the date of construction and also finding the right balance in resources as we want to transform fat and going to the new world of AI with all the new Cloud big data and.
And again a lot more data about me not so much data, but organizations in healthcare. I just not able to unleash and harvest it to the extent possible almost 80% of the time that I spent the day by day the scientist or business analytics teams integration and solving the actual problem are actually spending most of their time at 80% and more it exists in just managing harvesting and preparing the data. And even though it is pretty established companies have not only being more efficient customer service or patient experience, but
also has been more productive and learning more everyday but yet Have the proper view of their customer or patient information patient leader in one place? I think TimeWise we will be pretty challenge to jump quickly. in a patient's life and cure. So we are more on the defense side. Where is the retail stink Amazon Macy's of the world who can innovate or who can who has more flexibility to play with the customer say that building there to see if you are pretty I need the prediction is wrong. If you just don't sell on that space today risk from that and is much much less from a mission critical perspective more on the office side and banks are kind of waiting on board because they have they have to be aggressive on the customer acquisition side, but they're all
so pretty But what I have found but the most effective one is of course, you can't, you know, just focus on one area. Most affected one is finding that right balance between these two approach and figuring out what most practical for implementation as well as most value added for your organization and for your business objectives, and that is where the key is to find out more of a balance combined approach that makes you know your key business objective an alliance with it

It's more cost-effective and you have the capability now in one place to navigate from patients are social interaction social media as well as the various iot device streaming data that can come together so we can build more and more addictive and Innovative and real-time analytics solution for our patients or a
provider's again for the same reasons for deficiency cause management pedicure better quality of service. And governance is a healthcare and more reliable. Unbiased and better manage the government. Of course. I did a quality program around with the new Cloud little egg and potato and the innovative ways that the data quality and their governance tools are coming together on this combined now, we are in much better shape than before to do that more effectively on on the BP to work and have better and more reliable and
