Matt Scott is co-founder and CEO of Malong Technologies, a VC-backed AI company focused on computer vision for retailers. Matt has 15+ years R&D experience in computer vision and machine learning. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE (SMIEEE), published 100+ patents and 25+ academic papers (h-index: 21). At CVPR’17, Matt and his team won the WebVision Challenge from Google, a worldwide image recognition competition. Prior to Malong, he was at Microsoft for 10 years, working in Microsoft Research on computer vision, machine learning and other research technologies.In 2014, Matt co-founded Malong Technologies and is currently the CEO. The company has locations in the US, China and Japan, and has 150+ employees. Malong recently completed its B+ Round, invested by Accenture and SoftBank China, raising $41 million to date. As CTO, Matt led the company's R&D efforts creating state-of-the-art computer vision technology for retailers worldwide based on novel research.
