About the talk
Chia is a new cryptocurrency developed by the BitTorrent creator, Bram Cohen. Farming Chia coin is different in that it ensures a sustainable mining and farming process. This means a drastic reduction in the amount of carbon emission. Chia cryptocurrency is different because it relies on a powerful GPU that ensures an eco-friendly farming process for all users. Chia farming uses solid-state drives (SSDs) to plot and reduce energy waste. While Farming Chia coin is eco-friendly and cost-effective, the plotting process can be harmful to SSD's, especially if you're looking to get multiple plots. The solid-state drives are typically consumable until they wear out, meaning that your work is safe in the Chia network. In essence, the numbers will continue to grow and accumulate. If you're looking to participate in the Chia network or learn how to farm Chia cryptocurrency , consider watching this video talk by FinTech and cryptocurrency expert, Troy Kearl.
Troy Kearl is the VP of Field Development at SDK:meta, where he provides a thorough onboarding of how users can download, setup, plot their Chia Network farm for free, and begin earning crypto for providing redundancy and storage to the most extensive decentralized storage and compute blockchain on the market.
Chia blockchain represents the future of cryptocurrency and next-level automated green cryptocurrency mining. During the Inevitable World Summit 2021, Kearl elaborates on joining the Chia network, understanding how to set up Chia cryptocurrency farm, and mastering the Chia Blockchain. Watch now on Conferencecast.tv.
Elaborating on how to master Chia Coin farm, two critical aspects are plotting and harvesting. Farming Chia cryptocurrency follows a unique pattern. As when cultivating actual planting seeds, plotting is a crucial aspect. Chia Coin farming requires computing skills and fast SSDs for the plotting phase. Here you can delete files occupying space on your storage devices.
Having freed up some space, you can proceed to plot your field to prepare for planting. Essentially, the more land you can plot, the better your chances of earning a Chia coin.
Harvesting, on the other hand, is also similar to harvesting actual crops, which in this case, are your transactions. Harvesting involves competing for your block rewards. You can create and harvest multiple plots.
For every 10 seconds, a plot is randomly chosen from all the available plots within the network, meaning that the more plots you can create, the higher your chances of meaning on the network. Generally, winning any round is luck-based, as there's no guarantee regarding who receives the next Chia coin.
