View the profileHello everyone and welcome to next honor, I'm Xavier soltero vice president and general manager for G suite and I'm really excited to be with all of you today. When I joined you sweet, last ball. I was immediately impressed by the products. Billions of people choose our apps to manage their work lives and personal lives, a testament to how simple and useful these products are back. Then I couldn't have imagined how critical G Suite would become in supporting a sudden and Global transition to remote work and life. Covid-19 has had a surprisingly Swift impact and we've all had to make
very big adjustment at work. Everything became virtual meetings documents, even Holly conversations and work, wasn't the only thing that changed. Most of us, try to keep some separation between our work and personal lives. But covid-19 erase that bomb. Suddenly my whole team was working from home spending all day in video meetings. While our kids would burst in demanding Popsicles or help with their math, homework, Now, several months in a lot has changed. Schools are figuring out. Remote learning models, doctors are using Google me to consult with patients. Buy a video call. Parents are
getting really creative and frankly exhausted at finding ways to engage and amuse their kids. But the thing is this is not a temporary situation. I believe covid-19 is a catalyst that will accelerate the transition to more flexible and distributed thinks we're seeing this trend clearly from both employers and employees. 80% of the workforce, would really like the flexibility to work from home. At least some of the time and 74% of cfo's intend to shift some employees to work from home permanently. After covid-19, that's not just about individuals, seeking greater flexibility in their work by
transitioning employees to remote. Or flexible. Work models businesses can save money, reduce their carbon footprint, and even repurpose office space for other uses. Of course, every business is different and not all jobs can be done remotely, but giving employees flexibility not just in when and where they work. But also what tools they use and how they use them will help prepare them and their employers for the future engineer for flexibility from the beginning. Our products have always been accessible with just an internet connection, you've never really ever been tied to an office. Being
cloud-native gave us the right foundation to innovate. We pioneered real-time collaboration with Google Docs, sheets and slides and then added enterprise-grade, chat voice and video along with a host of helpful features that enable teams to work together, productively and securely across regions and time zones. It's why more than 6 million businesses have chosen G Suite as their partner and digital transformation and are now relying on us. To help them navigate this current challenge. The reality is that many companies are still using Legacy technology, and it's made it harder to
adjust a remote work. They scramble to keep their teams. Connect much less collaborating. The way they used to when they were all together in the same office. As we begin to understand the pandemic impact, realize that there was so much more we could do. So we focused on two critical objective first deliver meaningful product, Innovation to our, customers to help team stay productive and engaged while working remotely and do it quickly second. Make it incredibly easy four teams that were already on G Suite to access these tools and flexible ways. Have to say, I'm really proud to work with a
team that immediately rally Behind These two goals, even as they navigated their own challenges at home. We started we saw the greatest need video meetings. the first thing we did was accelerate our plans to make sure teams have everything they need to stay connected by delivering differentiated features like noise, cancellation and low light mode in Google meet We also made Advanced features like large meetings live streaming and meeting recording available for free to all G Suite customers until October. And it may we made Google meet available and free for everyone. So that anyone
with an email address can access the same secure, reliable video meetings. We provide for Enterprise customers. The resulting growth has been incredible. Google meet usage has increased 30 times since January and users are now spending more than three billion minutes together on video calls everyday. In fact, here's a quick plug. If you're not using meat yet you should go to meet. Google.com or download the mobile app and try it out. The remote collaboration takes more than just meeting. So we look for other ways, to make it incredibly easy for organizations, to get the broader
benefits of G suite. And it may we introduce a brand new offering called G Suite Essentials. DC Essentials includes Google meet for video conferencing Google Drive, docs sheets and slides from Modern collaboration, plus security, and management tools. That would satisfy any IT director or administrator. This is something you can adopt as a team leader, individual or IT professional, and it works seamlessly with Microsoft Office and Office 365. You can continue using your existing email or calendar tools to schedule calls with Google meet share files from Google Drive and take
advantage of our modern approach to collaboration. You don't even have to convert your word, excel and PowerPoint files because you can edit and save native office file types without leaving G Suite. This level of interoperability makes it easy for users to start adopting G Suite even while working with users that are still using Microsoft DC Essentials Builds on Google apps that billions of people already know and love. So it's familiar and intuitive and it comes with specific business features that are only available in the professional editions of G3. It's a great way for companies to
start realizing the unique benefits of G Suite without having to move off of their existing tools and we've made it completely free until October. We're already seeing tremendous momentum since our launch in may, we seen thousands of customers start to experience the value of G Suite within just days of signing up. But now let's take a look ahead at The Innovation, we have in store and Google every new idea revolves around our users. And what we've heard again. And again, is that people honestly are overloaded. There's too much information. Too many to do is across too many fools all coming
out. It's way too fast and right now many people are honestly managing personal responsibilities like child care or care for their loved ones. On top. Adding to the already high number of Demands on their tongue. In this environment, we don't really need more tools or more features for communicating and collaborating. We need tools that are just more help in the past few months. We've seen just how critical basic work functions. Like meetings, chat, document collaboration, task management, and email really are. So instead of giving you another app to download Another You by to learn, we
thought about how we could bring together the productivity tools, you already know and love in a seamless and thoughtful way to help you go from overwhelmed to more effective with that. In mind, I'm thrilled to unveil the next step. In our journey, an integrated workspace, that helps teams, stay connected, no matter where they're working from, what you'll see, here is a better home for work, that intelligently brings together, the people content and tasks. You need to make the most of your time. It seamlessly integrates, the core elements of work, like chat, email voice and video
calling along with document collaboration and task management to help you better manage, the pace of work. And we don't just bring these tools together, we make them work better together. Over the past 16 months, our research usability and product teams have spoken with more than 4,500 people to help us build a product that matches your vision for the future of work. Let's take a quick look. That was awesome first. Thank you. I hope you see how our products are truly inspired by users like you and we look forward to your continued
feedback. As this is just the first step in a much longer-term Vision to help people get the flexibility to collaborate the way they want wherever they are. And speaking of feedback, not only have we been using the new integrated Gmail experience of Google. But we've also released an early version to a handful of our customers and they're already seeing some really exciting results. Will be rolling this out over the coming weeks to be notified when it's available. Please, visit this link. I actually recently had the chance to chat live with a customer of ours was already previewed

Chase Wade has provided us with a new way of working and it's really helped us. Collaborate better as a network. It's helped us effectively eliminates the waterfall way of working. For example, slow and sequential document revisions Version Control issues
and the need to always send an email to deliver updates. But more importantly it's helped us. Change our behaviors, for example, delivering better faster responses for appliance, thanks to real-time collaboration. And I would buy Chase weight. Spring of fundamental pace of a larger transformation for all business, and we capitalized on Jace way through a changeling transformation. Programme has changed my contacts from my scrape creativity and provides us with business agility
into working from home. Because if 6000 people to work from home in a very short period of time and Chase Suite was critical for that transportation department successfully. The fact that we can consume only services in touch with scalable and resilient Cloud. Native environment has made a huge difference. First, we saw video meetings in Google, make a triple and its way extended the use of May to our customers and partners. It's Kyle. To nearly 10 million hours of make video calls and April align.
