Kais Gadhoumi
Assistant Professor at Duke University

Data scientist, researcher, and technology leader with over 15 years of research and development experience. Cofounder of Stratuscent Inc (formerly Sensing Dynamics), a Montreal-based high-tech venture building the next generation electronic nose platform for IoT applications. I have a proven track record of hands-on experience in designing and leading the development of software and firmware products in the wireless telecommunication industry. I held different positions and responsibilities in R&D organizations as DSP designer, software architect, technical and team lead, and system prime. I have a recognized experience in (digital) signal and data processing, statistical analysis and predictive analytics development. Holder of a bachelor degree in electrical engineering, a master of applied sciences, and a PhD in biomedical engineering, distinguished with McGill University's Davis doctoral thesis prize for contribution towards biomedical research advancement (prediction of epileptic seizures using intracerebral electroencephalography). I authored many scientific publications in neuroscience, neurophysiology, and data analysis, and received 14 awards and distinctions.
