Hello, Wendy. Good afternoon. Yeah. So my name is Shaun Pollock. Some of you guys might be familiar with my work on Gear S fee. I had been working on a smart Contracting platform. On top of Bitcoin, that was some insulin top of the bsp platform and the results were quite successful, right? I had that live token contracts for in C plus plus running off of walls and I getting hit by a train transactions but we start to build a token ecosystems you really need to take into account the

nuances. How do you handle chain reorgs? How do you ensure data pipeline? Has your losses until when I was starting to think about these things. I took a step back and decide, I need really need to focus on the core infrastructure layer. So to make a long story short, it has acquired Gear, S P, both Glenn, AKG wolf and myself are not working full-time. Dumpling area and really focus on the back and infrastructure. Scaling things out really making sure things are liable in the back end and it's going to be the focus of today's talk

about a lot of libraries out there, a lot of tools and get little confusing. So I highlighted across our man services and really just went out the key piece of infrastructure that make everything else possible. First of, which is better fast. Guys are really, really excited about it. As fast as you may have seen released the UI and the file server a couple weeks back. This means any transaction on bitcoin cancer, push data over 512-byte. We can go ahead and scrape out that file. I determine the content type a store and distributed file system, and you can really easily. Catch

you later on by nice consistent. You or ice cream at Wright. Farms action, hash input output index script and ducks and makes everything very simple, and it also makes it really simple to take kind of Link these. But if s file, I think about it. You can post in an HTML file that references other static content like images or videos and boom, you got that image sharing app, you can have one bit of us inside the references, another butter Fest website. As soon as we start to add things like elastic search. Search for it, but if that's what network is going to start to look a whole lot like

Google search. I'm sorry, a lot of exciting stuff to come and that I fast. If you haven't checked it out yet. Please do the API. That most developers are familiar with, right? We crawl historical blocks. We listen to real time for transactions coming in. We parked their options action to a really nice clean. Json format that can be created. This allows developers to filter for things like that, dress is a different script patterns, really, really flexible and Powerful, creating her face to all the

transactions on vehicle in their piece of infrastructure, bit socket. So you get the same powerful cradling. Would you get a busy bee? But now you can listen for transactions in real-time. This is really powerful API. The new release, now uses server-side events. So it's portable to mobile apps. Web app server side. You can pretty much plug it in, whatever you want. These three pieces of infrastructure. Profess bgb bit socket. You can pretty much build any athanasian Bull on top of Bitcoin with this tool set, extremely, extremely

powerful. And so, let's just take a look at kind of the network architecture of planaria ride. This is our mining nodes. Everyone loves the fully complete, your half of the money network on top. Is there a Cortland area now? It's right at Salerno's. Talk to you to pee just like the miners, do me and Jess the data, we transform it and we provide a really nice external API for other layers to talk into it and hook on top of, right. And so what's the next Leon? Todd? Reilly a small pond areas. It's the gram. All the amazing VSP Community

apps that use their tool set for. What I want to go to think about is as we start to scale, right? What if we keep going, right Madden if you keep adding layers on top of trying to look a lot like Don that works at Craigs and talking about write a check, child to Mary Mode. Need to have a subset of its parent or it can combine multiple parents going to do a joint table and this is really the advantage of Bitcoin. It's really about having all these applications that can share data across each other. It's not about getting solid off. Internet did 274. You have to

handle your own right in her face Real Madrid in her face. This is really about the kind of bacterial growth patterns, given all data is related to each other, right? Imagine if Facebook Amazon, Google all had the same back-end, that's really what we're building with PICC line. And so how do you do this with us? If you're not petition develop if your company and you want to host your own data, we love that. We want to make that as easy as possible for you to do and that's what this place is for. Love, you synchronize with the underlined cleaner infrastructure and host your own back-end,

right? We don't want to own that the whole know where he wanted power developers and other companies out there to kind of take this on and start staying. Mission data. So yeah, I thought this was kind of interesting. This is the hardware recommendations for running a Mining Node after the Genesis upgrade and 64 gigabytes of RAM 528. That's quite a bit. I think it's just kind of vindictive to the point. We're getting out of this is in preparation for the scale. We're getting too. I just want to bring to your

attention that compare contrast. Martinez vs planarian. That's right. We both talk to you too. We both in just a day that we both handle mental state for doing very different things. So the plan a nose into their hands are doing in some ways, an equivalent workload but we're taking the day that we're transforming. It was storming in the way that can be easily queried. If I think going forward, we are actually going to see both the mining infrastructure and the corps application for structure, both feeling and someone took Clomid

manners. And so we're really excited to take on these feelings challenge. Going forward. And this is a fun one cell. First of all, really happy to be here in London. This is the time of the epicenter of the queen of speed right now, and she ain't doing amazing work. Obviously building out the core Bitcoin client really pushing forward in terms of research, but I want to draw attention to someone different movement going on across the pond. Right in London things are very professional. We really have

accomplished businessmen and women season software Engineers, well over in New York, kind of more of this crappy hacker. Type staying up all night coding and I presentable at say, Cigarette in London, super focused on Enterprise which is great. Well and New York. We're focused like a laser focus on developers and then users and London more focus on Thurber. Well, we're going to focus on the first world and I think those are extremely important if you want to be everywhere. And everything, we really need to start taking these different routes that development. So let's go back in

time a little bit and look at the Google research, those coming out along the same time the Bitcoin whitepaper was released now I find this very interesting, right? Breakthrough piece of infrastructure coming out of Google. Do a filesystem mapreduce big table bigquery all these poor infrastructure is there. Now, like I made the rainbow, Open scores are running modern internet technologies that are necessary for the Bitcoin application-layer to scale have been around now, for quite a while. So, I think it's time for us to catch up and not only just catch up. If you're

serious about Bitcoin being the single app that runs the internet, we're going to do that like take the Baton from Google and I take things further are so right. You take out big and you put in bed kind of have our services ride in a fast. Busy Bee Bakery in kind of see where we going with this. Next guys, at the end of the day. It's really simple. We need him for you. And for the ride interface, we need to improve the reading her face. That's all there is to it. I was just one area. Where are laser focused on the read with other companies. Doing amazing work on the right side. And I think

this is extremely important, right? We don't want company is trying to do everything. We want specialized rate services for developers. Can you plug in play and choose what's best for them? And I also think it's important that have at this stage. We start to set really ambitious goals on the application side for how we want to skate, right? A B and C team is doing great. We're code SPN and really doing a lot of testing and it's worth stealing, but I haven't only seen the same level dedications on the application side, until I just want to throw out on the east side, since that's

where we're going for neriah. Kind of one edition School. AR challenge any developer. If you watching Whatever else wants to take on? I'm really tired of when I'm testing my software at running a scraper. It takes about 48 hours, right and running a Bitcoin. Do you want stink up the chain to take over 24 hours. As this is insane? We got to get much faster. And I think with JavaScript in a tree in containers, I can call the entire chain in front of Jeff cell and 70 be in less than 10 minutes. I'm obviously like we're always offering

that, but I want to challenge you in out here, see if I can scrape the whole chain, transform into save the file in less than an hour. I didn't do that. We'd love to have. You come talk at our Homebrew Computer Club meet up in New York, but you also want to mention we're starting a really cool meet up in New York, be taking place in SoHo. The first meeting is on the 25th of this month. Right next to our house will be there. Some other great developers to be kind of a meeting of the minds. It's really kind of kicking off. We have going on in New York. And if there's any other pills, do you

go to Homebrew. I will be in touch and I just ran about a job is good for a little bit. How many developers are here? Okay, so guys, everyone's using JavaScript all these buy a razor basic coming from the big for datapay. They're all the rid of that, but it's not really built to scale. Right? Even JavaScript alone. Do you realize that the max buffering string sizes gigabyte? How do you expect a sign of transaction, every gigabyte, right? Try to pull in

Block, 5095 on Genesis testing that it's got a transaction, was just looking at these challenges. We need screaming all the way from the TV socket layer, all the way through to Elevation down. One of these libraries need to be built out. I think there's a lot of room for a community involvement and open-source involving out Josh Pacheco system and you excited for 2020 and the things that can make you very much. Hello, it's, Jacksonville. Koin.com and I'm here with the lovely Shaun, Pollock from Seminary. I love you to have your hair. Tell me a little bit about what is it that you did.

Should I plan area? We're building a set of developer tools and make it really easy to build Bitcoin apps. If you want to create transactions, get real-time updates on. Let's try to get stuff being here at. And who you hoping to speak to network with. Yeah. Absolutely. I'm really happy to be in London. Like I said in my speech, I think this is really comes epicenter of Bitcoin, SV right now. And yeah, I'm looking forward to talking to kind of the enchanting shatters and calling all those guys and how they're stealing a Bitcoin. That's so

awesome goals, really, just making her service more, reliable getting more developers on board and take a nap in there. Very positive. But there must be a couple of pain points and challenges that you're going to have to wait to come through all those and how you guys tackle them. Hopefully it's not easy. But luckily got chores, I guess Channel network and other ways in which we can kind of test on infrastructure and prepare for it. So
