Hi-v on. I am a Cancer, April Macie. Today. We have a panel discussion for challenges benefits on the phone. Open source contribution. Constable. I'd like to introduce the overview of open-source contributions from an AC AC have contributed to the open-source ecosystem about 20 years, right? Kubernetes Rena, high power ranger, openstack, example, left. The table shows contributions off cuz I need some point to 18 Baybrook Lane and Henry C is 9 in this ranking table. In addition, this right side of the table shows

contributions of openstack Garage on Victoria, which is in its ranking table. So we have a lot of experience continue to do open source community. Today we are open source contributors from According to open source,, please and The discus. What's the benefit on the phone? Open source contribution? Is a panel discussion perished from Mac fast and can you introduce yourself? My name is, I saw a brother project project project of the product. Thank you, mother Gaston. 31. My name is consumed on.

I work as Cloud consultant in India around, like 6 years to not scream and the US before Lobster in King slick, wrong one. On New Year's Day on the support site. PPL portal episode number in Newark and various other projects along with technical membership is quality assurance and the EPA stability and having such a good Community. Motivate me to contribute more and more than that. And thanks for having me here. Mickey Mouse on next. Unlocking for resources Community,

2016. I know sometimes I can give it to you. Meme BFDI. Thank you, next. Hi, I'm shooting to call. I'm walking on Brett's home to Alisha and get his done in Silesia. I need to restring a bit. I seen since 2015. I have started to contribute to the openstack dashboard and take a test project had created some problem project for dashboard and maintains them. Dancing, 2018, started to contribute to board. And it also an extreme training at some Community Banks in Japan. Thank you.

I came to the song, I'm free. I'm working for kubernetes for about one year previously. I was working for open stock for about three or four. Your Side Story. Thank you. That's all. Thank you today. I am a little pink ribbon 80 + 84. I thought we really do have a some discussion when he dismembered. Let's get started. Fossil topic is platinum, MasterCard application. Possible. I'd like to ask this question. Do you have any idea who dated most of it's got to sing for open source contribution? Yeah, I see

I see. Call, Steve, I see you my personal experience. Other poems are Icees around which time zone is English Liguori before joining the community. So it has a big challenge to me when I joined the community. So I CDs challenges. That's the 30 comes from openstack, right? Yeah, it's a, my experience from Overstock. But Christian. So you have a, you have a joint kind of issue, what you got to be. Yes, possibly Scarface. Final time before I have to spend time on a phone complete.

my feeling is that so used to be. Engraving, Santa Rosa. Adobe in space. Do I need to come and get a different car using different using? Okay. Thank you so much. Call Oma what was difficult to eat. So that usually in usual working. We must finish wanting. So right after holiday schedule, a beautiful that serious. I'll go I was working for her. And I was definitely in the wrong teacher then it wasn't a little bit important for our company features cycle. Cycle. I've got a code

with my phone. No, they can't see me seats. I think this schedule has a company. Okay, so you have an idea of something with many people from different companies. So, so how do you solve this kind of thing taken care of immediately? Important point from open source point of view, my kingdom of the Define number of contributors. Sometimes you have very large number of contributors in your project goes, if you are a very large number of contributors to get the consciences.

As you don't find enough developer to review your call, or you don't find like experts to redeem your code in March. So that's what dictates you cannot make promises. You cannot Define the exact thing that lies to be much to open source. The one thing, one way to order, like an open-source even take things. So you review the review your car. So you need to spend also like, more time. So I'm getting other things, other cord must have the calibration with them. Have a good relationship. Building the trust are so that whenever the features

or cold, you are proposing that can get. The good review is difficult to, like, force any technical decision on Project site was all the technical. What feature has to be merged on what time is all project-specific decisions? So, technically my baby try to check the health, check of each project and openstack, if there are any less contributor in any project. So that time we try to help them try to publish that issue. In the mailing list, newsletters some extent, we can solve it. Okay, if I

brought here from different project. The fish me food from the users, if any of the company has a using that project in their solution or in there so they can at least check. Okay, dear, Shameless, contributor things happening in this project that I know maintainer in this example, last couple of cycling. We are getting one or two as a requirement of tech project making money off this project using their product in your product. If the time you have to

come up and help in Upstream contribution, ball joint open self committee. English conversation needs a dish called mustard gift card teams. For me, my $400. So, it's very hard to communicate in English and I tended to hear about English, but I found it. So I found are very, very kind human, so I don't need to hear about how come you taking movies English conversation? yeah, I seen and I found Asian country uses English, Chinese or Korean. I don't have to be so nervous.

It is important to be a contributor. In the communities jobs in the community. I see, I see how to make sense of things sometime. the openstack we are using the IRC chat or face-to-face discussion in some event and we are using Shrek, Shrek 4 data, communication on the we are. Using the weekly meeting. How to pull a guy. Make a consensus. What is the most important communication way for eternity to wait on the high power ranger? Oh, and most of the technical decision is made by

Ellie Goulding. I know you and maybe just taking making discount over 90 issue. Make a face-to-face conference after this time. So, how do we make such data? I don't know, maybe email email. Thank you. How to make big decision how to make a big decision? Pizza. Most important. Possum. Yes, I do. You know, pinstack be you and me the code thing. We have the PTC, call projecting Guidry where we do the Design District. And then she looks so much like a classic used to being physically because you see the people

have this discussion. Other thing. We need more, like we have the specification model for each project. If you have any idea, if you have any new features proposal, so we discuss it, like open is a good idea. And now let's go with the more designed and implemented so you can Summit the suspect and on the Spectre, which happens in the Garret and there, you can start discussing the design and implementation Guide TV off. AC replace to be why. He's so we need to discuss or make a understanding. From

other thing, is the, how did the English yesterday yesterday? Beautiful. Yeah, I thought so. So, we needed to make a suitable for mediation way for each committee. That is very important. So that nothing is great. Let's go to the next topic. So we are after we have company guy. We are watching for walking for company also, so it's going to be some work for a company benefit. I think that's the benefit voices Community. You might have to wait. I want to eat.

Another benefit, maybe we won't do something, we need to do something in the idea for this topic. Yeah. I think experiences in the community such as using YouTube knowing new point to finally be able to. Yeah. And I actually these experiences in this community always fresh for me and give me a lotto and that's for next walk. So I'm bringing something new or motivation back to the company is the body. I think I see if we have any idea. Watch 2 Upstream not having a private part in the another big benefit for our company about.

So we can You know, when there is a weakness in open source, for example, you know, a few years ago in openssl Project, right? So when the private part in the new version will be released. I think the important points or actually growing always growing through the open, still think they've always and always changing. So we have some private so hot those private rapist. It is very important point for Company Newport. How about we have any idea? Find this meet up with

immediate development project Direction. We can advise you directions to your project has been working with customers to Bloomers at corporate grounding. Brings good reputation song. Do best chances. I think that's okay. Do you want to Adam Morrison? Yeah, we discussed in open source, Windows specific, things that you can build the product and the window looking, so that is kind of close in the current market. If you see a specific vendor specific things because sometimes they can do the hardware. Also, sometimes,

and the second is like the quality side also because in the open source Community, if not, just the developers but provider and is there Delta parts. So they love the bug, they tell you like, okay. This is not working as expected in this scenario, something. So, sitting this kind of knowledge in open source, gives you a better quality product. So that. Also very important point in that and development cost, cuz you don't like tooling dolphin tooling infrastructure in open sausage tree, right? So completely

need to spend the money on Yeah, right. That's about it. So hard to open. Stopwatch on a cheese from scratch by a company called future. I'm coming for next topic. I thought contribution to ask this question. The other guys. Okay, so what's up? Fun park in the employee. Are you working there? One country, one company or it'll involve more than one controller button open-source. You see? It's more than 50, 60 countries. Still pursue can meet you can talk to them. You can learn their concert travel also, in some,

of the physical events. So, that yourself,, if you see, I think the open-source has one of the best opportunity for any developer because you have a very great skill the person. What's the word and you get a chance to work with them so you can learn continuously learn from the best thing for any I see about the company company does not project. So then you can get, you can get to Noah's project. Open. You busy. You are watching, be fine, china song. Ducks.

Good time to implement based on a real nice. Buckeye view in the community, most Innings a different scale, marriage experience, current on car insurance or Subaru. We Another company has a totally different each other and motivate me a real nice. This phone. Do you need penis Kalamata? Greece on has is like some sleep. Message no pictures on a walk. How about 3. Do you have any? Yes, I have a good idea,, That's exciting. What is an American buy property, corroborating boss?

That's nice. Do you have any something in your explain? 20 hour lady said panting and Allison Beatty construction industry Walk That Remains on the max contribution is such kind of work for software developer on our children. Children would be able to find my walk on internet eyebrows. The said she woke up. I deduct contributions. Arctic Island. We all may have Oxycodone board contributor on tap. Alarm. Okay, so, okay, so I'm waiting for Why, my thing is not major? I think that's what I feel is

business. Strategy is of career in the very difficult to decide right, you know, so it's a big challenge for us in the other big companies work with a hole in the wall in the company and we will discuss open Pro strategy. Perhaps just images. After the end of the day station, Metal Sonic playing Five Nights of storing training in Japan with a thumbprint into this week. Okay. We have had a coupon interest in training in Japan, DDS, open bass, and this community a jazz how to sign up. She really how to create a how to communicate

with other this year. After covid-19. We held them in bhature in the links in this position description. Also wield Anna's for new schedule here. Please. Check it. Thank you. Play, thank you so much for watching these session and we hope you enjoy this session today. Wow. Thank you.
