However, I would love to show you the exact Landscapes. I'm about to discuss with you. So please enjoy and thank you again for
your time. Hey, it's me. Is my last night. New Brunswick. Couldn't wait to feel you. It's been a very eye-opening trip where to begin. I got to visit so many companies working on the ground. It's a really interesting mix of global brand. And local startups. Lots of innovation in the infrastructure. Amazing Telecom a transportation networks. And the location is ideal right on the Eastern, Seaboard, picture Blossom, and go a little more and the time zone is perfect in between. It's small, but in a good way, cuz Nick connected, you know, was a real
can-do attitude and Agility. Everyone wants to make doing business here in a breeze. And you know what? Really blew me away, but people they are very friendly but also really educated hard-working. I told a bunch of the universities and colleges and they're producing some real talent and it's a direct link to the schools in the business Community skills. And jobs are totally aligned. And best of all the cost of doing business is way less than in Toronto or the US team for the cost-of-living seriously, though. Our team would love it here. They can bike to the office and go kayaking after
work traffic. Non-existent in the real estate is amazing. You can afford a house and a cottage, or I was it feels like a cottage. And I've developed a bit of a lobster have it. I'm hooked up. So many highlights are good and they really want to do business with us. I really get the feeling that well remastered, you know, they offered lots of services to help companies relocate even after the mood, like topping of flight office. Pays recruiting need all the players that kind of thing. Anyhow, sorry about the long message. I
got a little carried away. I'm just here enjoying the fun last delicious meal by the water. Call me back whenever you get a chance. But yeah, I think New Brunswick is going to be a real game. I then everybody. And thank you once again for joining us and now like to take you through a quick presentation on our region and opportunities to Brunswick in general. And for later in the presentation. I have my call e.j. Rejoining us as well. So as I mentioned briefly in my intro, but who we
are we are opportunity Brunswick. The provincial Crown Corp organization designed to drive economic development in our region, and we practically engaged International organizations in order to create jobs in new business opportunities for the province of New Brunswick. To put very simply too many organizations. We become the one-stop-shop which really just means that we do whatever we can to provide a concierge approach service to ensure that a business expansion is successful in our region and we can do that by working with different levels of government industry, Partners academic
Partners, whatever the case might be and whatever is needed. For that specific case. So our team offers, as I mentioned, very detailed and specific yet confidential support to all these different companies. So that's important to keep in mind that if we do have a conversation, everything is kept very confidential and strictly between us with our goal. Of course, really, just being to provide as much as Justin says we can do your Expansion Project. The way we do it from a, I really like this piece of the presentation just so I can educate a little bit done. Our proximity, some other
places in the world. You may be familiar with. So the province of New Brunswick specifically as you can see here on the map. It's on the east coast of North America in Canada. We're not too far from Toronto and Montreal sinsemilia cities. You may be familiar with in Canada. And we're located above bought a New York in the United States. As you can appreciate this gives us greater Market access not only to the rest of Canada but into United States as well as into Europe. Some examples of this, for example, would be that, you know, we can wake up in the morning and do business in the
country of India and progressively with the rest of Europe tour at the morning. And then in the afternoon, we can do business with the west coast of North America as well. All from the Same time-zone album the same day. Surviving a little deeper on what we do specifically investigation phase of brr. Step. Number one. Justin wish that we worked understand your business case your history. What's gotten you to where you are today and why you're looking to expand to begin with and then we can gather some proposal information all that good stuff. With the girl really
being asked to provide you some unparalleled advice and support with that project plan in general do which will make some decisions on how weak is chiefly support that specific plan, you know, before the world of a global pandemic. We would look to design physical site. Visit of course travel restrictions are made this a little tricky, but we did look to support virtual site visits when possible, as well as any virtual events that might benefit you organization and not only learning more about the jurisdiction but just about who is here what they're doing and do some of the activities
in general. And then, of course, that brings us to the Final Phase, the implementation phase, which is really the bare-bones and actual operation of opening that office the support within the Aftercare. And I'll be back to my come from that and that's really a quick snapshot of the process. But all that to say, that's really what we do is offered on a customized basis. So we're here to listen to your business needs and respond accordingly as we can. So we do this by leveraging for strategic pillars within our Province. First, we would leverage our people. What this really means is that
we have a highly-skilled Workforce existing here in the problems today supporting many different Industries across, all different verticals and despite our smaller size and region. We are very fortunate to be able to boast such a highly skilled Workforce. We both excellent. An unparalleled infrastructure to support business activities, and continuity in general and Agility and cost competitive landscape, which really means that you're able to do business a little more efficiently and effectively while having us as a trusted partner to act of the lad by Ali agility, on your behalf.
And then the Innovation that we would boast at some of our academic institutions, for example, which really just helps us Stand Out internationally and really prove that just because we're a small jurisdiction does not necessarily mean that we can pack the same punch. That's in larger areas me. So, we do this for, for multiple reasons, as you can see here and not just in this slide in between weather, supporting the private sector fostering opportunities for automation, Innovation and Technology at focusing on our immigration Pathways and citizens of the future growing exports. You name
it. Those are really all the reasons why we do what we do here today. And again, we should really be eager to speak with you a little further about it and perhaps give you some information, that might be a little more specific to your business needs. Like to quickly just review some of that the key sectors and priorities that we have in the province today. Some of our key focus and areas of focus would be cybersecurity, digital Health, agriculture, Technology, Energy, Advanced, manufacturing, and business services, and kind of all the things I can come with that. Fortunately
chasing to speak a little bit about Advanced manufacturing following this, but when it comes to cybersecurity, for example, we have global leaders operating in the problems here today, many recognizable names would be happy to share a little bit further after this, as well, as well as some amazing assets, not only within her academic institutions button, physical building completely dedicated to critical infrastructure protection located here in the province. Many different projects happening in house. Rent, looking to service in and really export that to the rest of the world.
Multiple different things going on in vertical, farming, and agriculture technology. A very diverse energy landscape for energy and a v. Everything from nuclear to hydroelectric to some traditional methods as well as well as renewable opportunities. And I'll save some of the advanced manufacturing pieces for my colleague to touch upon following Ness. Here's a, just a great example of that critical infrastructure protection asset that I mentioned earlier. This is Bucyrus center located in Fredericton New Brunswick, which opened in 2020. Just last year.
Is that a great point to touch up on as well? So, our province has a dedicated Focus towards immigration and supporting citizenship of the future die within our region. I would encourage people. If you're interested in this process in any way, shape, or form to really look at the website below, welcome, and B. CA, as it can get some information on the different Pathways, in which a business can take advantage of two. Potentially expand into the region and help facilitate that process. When you look at immigration in Canada, it's really a two-layered approach in that there's the federal
component and then there's often a provincial component as well. So we have a team that's ready to act and support on that provincial side of things as quickly as possible and also provide support wherever necessary and wherever possible to feel still facilitate that a transaction. And that move in general. So all that really, just to say we're opportunities to Brunswick and and we are here to help your business. So with that being said, I'd like to hand it to my call e.j., Who's going to shut a little bit of information and light on the advanced manufacturing system in the province
is Jesse's mention. My name is j Reed, and I am a business development executive focused on investment attraction activities or opportunity and I focus on the manufacturing sector. So I'm very pleased to be here today to share some some information about the manufacturing sector and to give you a little bit of an education but what we have going on in New Brunswick, I'd like to start off by just asking some questions. Did you know what type of questions about New Brunswick? First one being did, you know that 25% of the world's frozen french
fries McCain Foods, started in New Brunswick, back in 1957 with one frozen french fries ability, and they now grown to become the largest producing company in the world selling their products in over 160. Countries. Canada's largest oil, refinery is also located in New Brunswick, Canada with a production capacity of 320000 Barrels in today. They export to reply products to the US Northeast and all across, Atlantic, Canada. Did you know the New Brunswick is also home to one of the largest global Seafood companies in the world which started in small little town of black
Harbor with a single Marine site as soon as you become a global leader with a fully integrated facilities product line, distribution networks around the world. And we have many other Manufacturing Company bruising of Rite Aid, good good. That would include food and beverage director for strategic product cannabis sector, consumer, products Industrial Fabrication with many of these companies being shown on your screen. So why are these companies having success Manufacturing in New Brunswick? You're having success because we've been able to meet their staffing. Needs. We are meeting
it needs by directly connecting. These companies that are post-secondary education institution to create training programs to meet the requirement. One example would like to share with you is we have one of our manufacturing company that produces truck trailers that recently had a challenge and find welders. We were able to connect him with our New Brunswick Community. College to create a very specialized training program that is now pumping out 10 to 12 new graduate, every 12 weeks for that particular company. This program went from the idea to training within
a 12-month. Because of her size New Brunswick, we can get things done quickly. Around 6 also home to one of Canada's leading, engineering school, with the University of Nebraska Book. University of Moncton is home to a leading robotics electronic, the industry 4.0 lab, but it's helping to support our companies. As they look to integrate automation productivity improvements to their business. And I did mention, we've got community colleges both French and English providing excellent educational programs across a variety of training programs. When we start to look at
kind of the business card, another reason that New Brunswick companies are having success is because of our lower labor costs. In Brunswick, has consistently been ranked amongst the lowest locations for business in Canada by kpmg's competitive alternative study and because of her alone, lower cost-of-living companies are able to hire very qualified people in the Brunswick at a high salary from your brother standpoint, but that would be lower than what you would have to pay an allergic to your station across Canada and around the world. Are you thinking will? How is that possible?
Well, we look at our cost of living the the current average selling price for a home in New Brunswick. Today is $225,000. If you look at some of the larger jurisdictions across Canada. Starting point would be $500,000 or more. The runs and also home to some very competitive. And in more importantly, stable industrial power rate with much of the power being generated by renewable energy sources and not admitting sources as we know. That's becoming more and more important to your company business needs. Can we look at real estate cost cost in in New Brunswick tend to
be significantly lower than some of the other jurisdictions across Canada that you may be more familiar. With example would be in terms of industrial leasing car. We are 30% cheaper than Montreal 60% cheaper than Toronto in over a hundred percent cheaper than Vancouver in British Columbia. So there's significant savings to be had operating in New Brunswick. When we look at land cost. Our land costs are also significantly lower than larger systems across Canada. Basically, we have real estate need that are affordable and ready for you to bring your business to run the last
thing I'd like to touch you with my my conversation today. I'd like to look at her actual transportation and Logistics Network. Obviously, once you manufacturing your products, you need to find a way to get those products in the market. We've got a very modern multimodal transportation that work. That's available to easily, get your products to anywhere. You need to around the world. When we look at the Marine shipping option, we have the Port St. John, which is the largest boarding, our problem. And they're currently going through a significant 205 million dollar expansion and modernization
project of their Container Terminal. And since this started, they've been able to secure a second National Railway as well as another container line to get products Market. The Port St. John is also and I'm congested for, what does that mean? It means that your product is going to spend less time, Dockside and more time on route to its final destination. Unlike some of the larger more congested ports around the world. As they talked about the New Brunswick has some excellent rail service. New Brunswick is fortunate not to be serviced by
both National Rail carriers in Canada. We have service provided to CN and in the service provides across Canada service and service into the US market. We also have air cargo option to our largest airport, Bumpkin, and we have direct Highway access to the large markets in the US Northeast as well, into central Canada. The Province, go back in the state of Maine. And in all we have all of the options that you need to get your product sufficiently to Market. And we'd love to learn more about your business needs. How we
could play a role in helping to locate. Thanks Jesse preciate it. Thank you so much. I appreciate the information as well. Great Betten. I might just like to tease me. Wrap it up on on one quick. One pick. Peaches in that as I would have mentioned my introduction. Team in Canada. Support all the previous content. We just gone over. We have a unique export Development Division within our organization as well. This is a sign to improve X performance of companies located in the province as well as to help diversify their markets. So they do that to really help some of the challenges.
They can come with International export and trade. So that's definitely a service can be available to companies. If you are considering, you know, perhaps looking at not only Canada, but maybe now hopefully New Brunswick as well. We have a multi-faceted letter of support really ready to work with you and your company. Which brings me to my final point, which is really just that, you know, if you're thinking of making your move in this jurisdiction or up to this region in general, I would be remiss not to think about all the advantages that New Brunswick has to offer and we would
