Duncan Coutts, chief technical architect of the Cardano blockchain joins #cardano2020 to breakdown the construction of a network which can serve as a global financial and social operating system. IOHK’s flagship blockchain allows direct node to client interactions. The network is also able to support a provably secure proof-of-stake model. Cardano is built using peer-reviewed academic research which informs every detail of the Cardano blockchain from the consensus layer to the ledger rules.
