About the talk
Voice assistants are on the rise, especially the adoption of the Google Assistant is growing rapidly in the Netherlands. For most adults it’s still a bit awkward talking to a “robot”, but for children this seems like second nature. After developing a number of Google Assistant applications for children, including ones for brand like Auping, ING and Donald Duck, we learned a lot about designing voice applications for this group. We are always challenging ourselves on how to make it as fun, but at the same time, as educational as possible. In this presentation I’m giving some insights into the design proces of some of our child focused voice apps.
