Chetan Mehta is CEO of WAMI Capital, the Family office of the Transworld group and currently based in Dubai. At WAMI, besides managing a global portfolio of different asset classes, Chetan is particularly focused on building an alternate investment portfolio of venture / start ups. Till date, he has invested in around 60+ startups across India, Israel, UAE and US and across multiple sectors like Edtech, Fintech, Healthtech, Foodtech, Mobility, ECommerce, Media, Gaming, Spacetech, Blockchain, etc. Chetan is also an angel investor himself with investments in 25+ start ups and mentors aspiring entrepreneurs. For Wami, Chetan formulates the investment strategy to maximize the investment returns within acceptable levels of risk through a diversified portfolio and also performs various investment activities, including portfolio review and risk management. He has been instrumental in institutionalizing the family office by designing the governance framework, investment policy and strategic asset allocation framework. Chetan has two decades of advisory and consulting experience, of which 11 years were with EY. He has advised MNCs on restructuring of cross border operations, M&As, IPO planning as well as providing strategic approach to complex issues. Chetan has worked in Mumbai, London and Dubai in various advisory roles.

At 23, I exited my first venture, but I preserved my build-it attitude and continue to run three growing companies, all-the-while traveling the world in search of my next inspiration. Today, my main focus is on revolutionizing the financial sector through my company Elitium: a next-gen wealth management app, helping clients discover a life of independence, value, and growth. Elitium’s proposition is ‘Create Value’ using four pillars: hold, spend, invest, and trade. The team’s ultimate ambition is to create a decentralized Digital Economy that enables every client to enjoy a luxury lifestyle.
