About speaker
I am fascinated by the confluence of local and global challenges related to governance and sustainable development. I am an Outreach Development Officer at the Cardano Foundation, the custodian of a blockchain platform focusing on pushing power to the edges through economic identity solutions and decentralised governance. My role entails developing SDG-centric initiatives and partnerships enabled by the Cardano blockchain. I'm wrapping up a masters in International Affairs at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. I have experience in bilateral research and innovation cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland in South Africa. I have also held roles in the NGO sector where I am currently a board member of Amnesty International South Africa, and associate researcher at the Southern African Policy and Development Nexus. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance, together with an Honours degree in Social Development from the University of Cape Town.
